Good News for All

In this concise study of Paul’s letter to the church in Rome, we will learn step by step that the Gospel is “the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.” Paul proclaims God’s plan to provide deliverance for sinful man from the penalty, power, and eventual presence of sin through Christ’s sacrificial death. We learn how to respond to God’s grace and mercy in our daily lives, and we gain insights into God’s future plan for His earthly people, Israel.

There is a war raging within yourself. It is the battle against the flesh, the "old you" which is completely opposed to the Spirit's work in your life. This course will help you expose your flesh, provides four Biblical methods of dying to self, and explores the areas of your life in which you must walk by the Spirit's power.

Christ Loved the Church

When people think of the church, they tend to think of the vast organized system of religion that began to develop a century after the apostolic era. Under Emperor Constantine, Christianity flourished throughout the Roman Empire as a state religion (starting AD 312). Today, the church is represented by a wide range of religious bodies throughout the world. But is this what is meant by “the church” in the New Testament? What is God’s view of the church? How was it originally structured and organized? How should it function in today’s society? To some, the ideas and concepts discussed here will be new, even revolutionary. Others will recognize a pattern with which they have long been familiar. All will be challenged to comply with God’s Word on this vital topic.

The Bible is the story of how He has been doing that. At the present time God is using His people to "make disciples of all nations." That’s missions! It is the most wonderful enterprise in the world. In this study you will discover many aspects of world missions, beginning with its biblical foundation. You will learn what kind of people God uses and how He calls them to become involved; the Biblical strategy of missions and the special role of the church in fulfilling His plan. Methods, logistics, and the challenge of reaching people who are living in different cultural settings will be discussed. Then there will be a survey of the broad sweep of history as to how the gospel has spread since the time of Jesus. This will lead to a review of the contemporary world and the work that God is doing today.
